gape is opening its public monthly call, inviting all creators working in the performing arts, and more generally those artists who expose themselves through trans-disciplinary interventions, investigating new relationships with space and audience, creating unprecedented synergies, crossroads among several languages.
We invite performers, researchers, art and thought practitioners, single or collective artists to apply.
For the ninth event in March 2016 applicants will develop a performance piece based on the artwork "ENCYCLOPEDIC " by Joas Nebe. Please let this work provide the theme and influence creative process during development of your performances for presentation.
Each month will feature up to 6 performances, recommend length is between 20 – 30 minutes. For each iteration of gape, new calls for submission will be made.
FEE
We will endeavour to cover all costs of performance (including transport for equipments and feeding) as well as a minimum performance fee per act. Any additional money from the door will be split equally between performers.
HOW TO APPLY
The applications will be accepted only if sent through the Application Form you can find HERE. All the fields are mandatory.
The presentation of the work must be followed by the theme "Time will tell" running creative process. The proposals must be sent with the materials required in the online application form.
